New Adovcacy Update!
AOTA has two new advocacy efforts that youc an take action on today!
1. The SHARE Act which would support the licensure ocmpact by allowing the FBI to sharebackground checks and allow statesto share information accross state lines.
2. Ask Congress to fully fund the Allied Health Workforce Diversity Program.

Excellent lesson re: hospice discussions! Often times I was the only service to bring up hospice to the patient and family. You are so right in that our therapy mindset often cannot easily shift out of the rehab model. Second the recommendation for all health care providers to read Being Mortal and how to direct their own health care

Being mortal is one of my favs! It informed so much about how I practice. I really loved hospice. So glad you find it helpful! Have you read Being Mortal?

Hey Clarice,, FYI I’m not sure what i got wrong on the outpatient Med B quiz, its showing 5/6 correct on the score but in reviewing the questions Im not seeing my error. (All the answers are in green)

I’m only on Module 2 of the Mastering OT Policy & Medicare class and I have to say I really like this class! Hi, I’m Emily an outpatient lymphedema therapist in Utah. I’ve worked in various settings throughout my career, as an OT, and I’m currently exploring non-clinical jobs in healthcare, hoping to transition sometime this year. Ive always been interested in how insurance and reimbursement worked, and this looked like a great place to learn more.
