AOTA, APTA, and ASHA are working together to ask Congress for permanent reform to many policies impacting Medicare Part B.
Their joint letter identifies numerous issues impacting therapy services in Part B and calls for reform on MIPS, MACRA, supervision laws, the requirement for a physician to sign the POC, opting out, and the MPPR.

Hi! I’m Claire Lynch and I live in Houston, TX. I am a mobile outpatient OT and work with older adults in their homes. I am always learning as much as I can about my practice so I hope to gain more knowledge from this membership. I haven’t had a chance to dig into all the courses yet, but I look forward to doing so.

Happy Mental Health Month!
For an OT mental health win, the occupational therapy mental health parity act has been reintroduced in the Senate. This legislation seeks to remove barriers of access for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries for OT mental health services.
